Partnership Collections

Our goal for our Partnership Collections is two-fold.

1. Increase awareness and value of existing NFT collections already in circulation by allowing you to play with real avatars of the NFTs you already own. To do this we will partner with dozens and eventually hundreds of other NFT collections. The types of partners will be split into two categories:

   • Animal Based Collections - Collections that are based on animals will be utilized as playable Whimzu in game. Such collections might include Lazy Lions, Cool Cats, Fishy Fam, Trippy Toadz, other animal based collections, etc... (alliterations are not solely a prerequisite, but we do love them)

   • Humanoid Based Collections - Collections that are humanoid based will be utilized as playable personal avatars. Such collections might include: Galaxy Fight Club, Wonderpals, World of Women, Bored Ape Yacht Club, Doodles, etc...

2. Become a launch destination for future artists and collections looking to get their name and their artwork in front of millions of people. This means that creators will be able to submit their work to Whimzu where we will turn their collections into playable Whimzu that will be discoverable in-game in lieu of doing a public sale. In an increasingly crowded field, we believe this will be an option many creators will take rather than having to navigate the trials and tribulations of marketing and community engagement required for the success of an NFT collection.

Adding Collections After Game Launch

We'll be working hard to build a wide variety of partnerships so the game has a rich and diverse set of collections upon launch. The collections we add to the game after launch will be largely decided upon by community vote. If our community thinks a certain collection is worth integrating into the game, we will work hard to collaborate with them and make this a reality. By full game maturity, we envision a robust partnership collection that is just as big, if not larger than the collections we personally create for Whimzu.

For the longterm success of the game and to bring further value to other NFT collections, it is imperative that playable Whimzu from partnership collections are as equally powered in combat as the Whimzu we create. While certainly each Whimzu regardless of what collection they come from will have certain strengths and weaknesses when battling other Whimzu, we will do everything we can to ensure all collections are balanced fairly regardless of who created them.

As with the Whimzu collections, each partner collection will start with relatively similar base stats, but will advance at different rates depending on its assigned potential which will be largely based on the rarity of each NFT in that specific collection as dictated by the rarity rankings on rarity.tools.
