Understanding Character Dispositions and Rarity
Character Dispositions - What Does This Mean?
In the simplest of terms, character dispositions are simply adjectives that describe the general behavior of a Whimzu.
If you’re like us, you may be saying, “Adjectives??? I forgot those things after I finished grade school”! Have no fear. Adjectives are fun and in use everywhere, and ironically utilized in MANY NFT Collections in circulation already. Cool Cats, Lazy Lions, and Trippy Toads come to mind to name a few. Cool, Lonely, and Trippy are all words that describe the animal (These are not official partners yet, but we would love to partner with them). Our Whimzu will have dispositions with this same naming convention. Several examples may include a Giddy Goat or a Silly Snake.
With our grammar lesson now complete, we can examine how this affects the Whimzu and the rarity.
Each Whimzu disposition will have a certain stat bonus built in. These stats will be hidden to players, but generally, the more rare the disposition is, the more powerful the hidden effects will be in battle. Why are these stats hidden? To increase intrigue in the game and give players a chance to learn first hand what Whimzu are best in certain situations.
As the game matures, we will give players the ability to teach their Whimzu a 2nd disposition so their personality is even more diverse and unique with some Whimzu even having the capacity to learn a 3rd disposition. This will result in exceptionally unique Whimzu.
How Disposition Determines Rarity
Disposition and the rarity go hand in hand in Whimzu. Each species of Whimzu will have 8 possible dispositions which translate into varying degrees of rarity so owners can easily determine how rare their Whimzu is. The 8 rarities and rarity percentages are as follows:
Basic – 42%
Common – 19%
Uncommon – 16%
Rare – 10%
Ultra Rare – 5%
Mystical – 4%
Marvelous – 3%
Fabulous – <1%
*Note* This does not help determine rarity of certain features that Whimzu may come with such as the type of eyes they have or the companion assigned to them. For those details, please visit our Gallery as our collection data becomes available.
