Stats Overview
The battle system is built upon several underlying values that contribute to the players personal avatar and the Whimzu’s overall effectiveness in battle. A detailed overview of each stat is below:
Stats Overview:
Level: The overall strength and maturity of a Whimzu. Generally, the higher the level, the better the stats
Resolve Points: Calculates the amount of health
Attack Power: Calculates physical attacks
Defense: Calculates ability to withstand physical attacks
Intelligence: Calculates channeling attacks
Resilience: Calculates ability to withstand channeling attacks AND ability to overcome adversity in battle. One such example would be getting stronger when in critical condition
Speed: Calculates how frequently you can attack AND your ability to dodge
Trust: Calculates critical hit chance. This stat increases over time based on the number of battles a Whimzu has been in with their trainer and reduces if Whimzu is traded
Endurance: Calculates how long you can battle before wearing down and getting less than optimal results.
Potential: Calculates the maximum potential score of an animal. This does not directly affect combat, but tells you how powerful your animal is compared to the best possible training outcome if you were to maximize every training opportunity (See "Potential Multiplier")
Avatar Stats:
The player's personal avatar will have base stats that increase with level achieved, but we believe the fun part is the player's avatar will absorb a portion of the stats from their three Whimzu selected for combat. This will provide significant variation amongst the players as they toy with not only the best team, but how to give their avatar the best individual results.
We do not want this game to become a Pay to Win game so stats will not be shown upfront during the initial launch of our Foundation and Mythical NFT collections. That said, as a general rule of thumb, all Whimzu will start off with relatively similar base stats, but the rarer the Whimzu, the more total "potential" the Whimzu has as it levels up, so players who own a rarer Whimzu can expect their stats to increase at a slightly faster rate than more basic cards.
