Our Mission - How We Accomplish Our Vision

Our mission is to democratize NFTs in the gaming world by making them more easily understandable, accessible, and economical for all who want to partake. We’ll do this by building an unparalleled gaming experience for the 2020s that draws upon existing gaming infrastructure and combines it with the best parts of the crypto and NFT space.

The following core pillars will ensure we stay on track with our mission and vision:

Enhance Cross IP Collaboration - Inspired by Galaxy Fight Club’s idea to build cross IP collaboration, Whimzu further builds on the idea of community driven IP rather than company controlled IP by partnering with dozens, and eventually hundreds of other content creators to bring attention, utility and value to their custom artwork collections. We aim to not only partner with these collections but to become a launch destination for new collections to get their name and their artwork in front of millions of people. Utilization of NFTs - Our main goal is to bring life to existing NFT collections (and future ones) by allowing you to play with real avatars of the NFTs you already own. Additionally, we will innovate additional ways to utilize your NFTs including but not limited to easily staking your NFTs in-game, trading NFTs, and creating a marketplace for in-game NFTs. Additionally, we believe you should be able to take your NFTs with you to other games (we all still feel a deep attachment to many of the WoW characters we rolled) and so will be championing and partnering with other similar minded cross-IP endeavors so you can use your NFT’s in other games outside Whimzu. As we stated in our vision we hope to inspire many more individuals who will innovate and raise the bar in this area. As other ideas surface from our community or other innovators in the space, we vow to continually work on increasing utilization within our ecosystem.
Iterative Game Development - How we build the game might not tie directly to our vision of democratizing NFT’s in the gaming world, but we believe that quick, tangible results are imperative in order to make existing NFT enthusiasts excited, while attracting new gamers who have yet to venture into the crypto/NFT world. We’re inspired by the SpaceX’s of the world who innovate through fast iteration and learn from mistakes and in doing so produce tangible results in rapid succession. We believe gamers, and more specifically our community, shouldn’t have to suffer years of waiting for a game to launch, only to watch it be further delayed. As such, we will be living by an iterative development approach. This means our community will see the game advance from relative infancy to full maturity and beyond on a quarterly basis. This will build trust with our main audience (you!) and help us ensure we’re building a game that the community wants to play by listening to feedback along the way and quickly implementing it.
Safe and Easy Entry - The growth of the NFT community is still only scratching the surface. Many newcomers are expected to join the industry in the coming years and we see the confusion that occurs when learning how to appropriately purchase crypto at exchanges, learn about networks, and transfer money between wallets. It’s ambiguous at best and not intuitive. There are already companies who’ve identified this problem and are working to make the crypto space safe and easy, so we’re not so much planning to solve the problem as we are stating that we will build our game with the notion that we want our community to feel like they can intuitively join, learn, and do everything they want to do with relative ease. With any luck we can help evangelize the crypto space by extension of being associated with it.
Fun and Engaging - We consider making a fun and engaging game to simply be the table stakes for game development. In other words, in order to succeed in the gaming world the game had better be fun! So rest assured, we’ve got your back because we can’t be successful long term otherwise.
